There, she studied professional speech & theatre arts, and broadcast journalism. During her collegiate career, she gained the achievements of being in the North Carolina Fellow Academic Leadership Honor Society, the student government association, the student union advisory, and was a member of the Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority. By , she graduated from the university. The next year, she obtained a record deal with the American label, Next Plateau Records, and received a licensing deal from the U.K.'s Champion Records. Her debut album, Let Yourself Go, came out at some point in and went to #92 on the U.K. Albums chart. The premier single, "Falling In Love", went to #68 on the UK Singles chart and #29 on Billboard's Hot Dance\Disco Club Play chart, the latter remaining there for seven weeks.     Sybil was preceded in death by her parents, Jessie Palmer Lynch and Pency (Hickman) Lynch; Sisters, Bessie Hutton, Thelma Savino and Cora Abernathy; Brothers, Leo Lynch, James Lynch and William Riley (Bill) Lynch; Nephews, Bob Hutton, Dewitt Hutton; and Niece, Kathy Lynch Hill.

    She is survived by her nieces, Betty Hutton McWilliams, Karen Lynch Tripp, Janette Lynch Turner, Kayla Beth Lynch Pitzrick, and Jan Lynch Ainsworth; nephews, Bill Hutton, Ronnie Lynch, Marty Campise, Curtis Lynch, Jimmy Lynch, Richard Lynch and Mark Lynch; as well as a host of great-nieces and nephews.
