Saheb Bhattacharya
Saheb Bhattacharya is a household name in Kolkata for his popularity that he gained for his appearance, in reality, shows in various Bengali channels. He was the face of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Little Champ shows aired in Zee Bangla. Afterward, when an another charming actor Jisshu replaced him, Saheb got another chance to host and promote another reality show - Jhalak Dikhla Ja. However, this handsome young lad burst in Bengali cinema horizon like a breath of fresh air. His innocent, next-door boy image had impressed many filmmakers. Plus, he had the talent to emote spontaneously before a camera.
Saheb made his debut with Satyajit Ray’s son Sandip Ray’s film ‘Gorosthane Sabdhan’ (2010) which had Sabyasachi Chakraborty playing the role Feluda and Saheb narrating the role of Feluda’s assistant Tapse. In this film even Tinu Anand, Dhirtiman Chatterje had appeared but as a debut actor Saheb impressed everyone. Saheb also played the role of a Naxalite, who is in love with Konkona Sen Sharma in Aparna Sen's ‘Iti Mrinalini’ which released in 2011. This actor also appeared in a Bollywood film ‘Chittagong’ directed by Bedobroto Pain. He has since appeared in films like Gorosthane Sabdhan, Someday Somewhere, Iti Mrinalini, Royal Bengal Rahasya, Bheetu, Romantic Noy, Double Feluda, Karjoner Kolom Uraan and Oskar.
